'Lucky 13' Tips for a Safe Halloween

With Halloween approaching, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to use decorative contact lenses without a prescription and fitting from an eye care professional. In its warning, the FDA release emphasized that misuse of decorative contact lenses can lead to serious problems.

The FDA Consumer Update warns the public, "that buying any kind of contact lenses without an examination and a prescription from an eye care professional can cause serious eye disorders and infections, which may lead to permanent vision loss."
