Kogoro, Ran and Amuro try to unlock the PC in Kei's apartment while Subaru, Agasa and Haibara are on their way to follow Conan. Afterwards, Kogoro and the two unlock the PC. In the middle of Kei driving, Conan wakes up, having in fact tricked her into believing that he was unconscious, and tells Kei that he can help her find the woman in the group, the last of the robbers. Surprised by Conan, she asked how did he wake up, to which Conan answered that he purposely spilt the juice because there was no *pop* sound when he opened the cap, implying that is was already opened and that Kei might have put something in it before handing it to him, thus pretending to sleep. After some time of talk between him and Kei, during which he makes her promise she won't kill the last one, they went to the apartments of the three women who were in the phonebook of the man who committed suicide at Mouri's detective agency. Sera also follows Kogoro discreetly and is seen by Amuro.
The corresponding manga chapters are listed in parentheses next to the episode numbers if you are interested. The first set is the overall chapter numbers and the second is the chapters as contained within each volume, separated by a bar (). If a manga chapter reference is followed by an asterisk (*), then there has been some story-critical change between the manga and the anime adaptation.
Since Detective Conan has had some direct crossovers with the Magic Kaito manga over the years, yet those parts of the Detective Conan anime never had the Magic Kaito parts that gave them context animated as well, those crossovers have never really had their full and proper effect for anime-only fans. However, now that Magic Kaito has finally received an adequate anime adaptation, I have taken the liberty of working the timings of these all-important crossovers into where they fit in with their Detective Conan episode counterparts, making the crossovers whole once more. The Internet can thank me later. The only issue is that the Magic Kaito episodes are entirely out of order. But, the order really does not matter for that series as it does with Conan, as the series is entirely episodic beyond pretty much the first episode. So, you can ignore that and watch that series in any order you wish.
An episode being on this list does not necessarily mean that I am insisting that you watch it. It is calling the case out as one that someone might not want to miss for some reason or reasons, with those listed. If the reason given does not look like it matters to you, feel free to ignore that episode.
The *Main Plot* label is only there to point out episodes that you definitely should not skip, since listing the spoiler-lite reasons alone may not be enough. Watching only those episodes is missing out on most of the character development, which is what mainly causes you to care about what happens in those episodes in the first place. While I am not necessarily recommending that you watch every case listed, I am suggesting that you find a balance somewhere in the middle that works for you.
13 [INTL 14] (manga 13-16V2F4-7*): Introduces Miyano Akemi. *Main Plot*Note her importance was far more immediately obvious in the manga (although not the full breadth of it by any means). But the anime creators were idiots, in a way they really seemed to enjoy being at this point in the anime, and changed the ending of this episode completely. Therefore, they had to make a special original followup episode later on when they got to adapting the part of the manga where the implications of the true ending started to become extremely important. Fortunately, I think they learned from this incident and stopped doing things quite so dumb from that point on.

Detective ConanKudo Shinichi is a seventeen year-old high school detective whom people call the \"Modern Sherlock Holmes.\" However, one night after a date with his childhood sweetheart, Ran, Shinichi witnessed an illegal trade and, caught off his guard, was knocked unconscious and fed a drug that was supposed to kill him... but he woke up and found himself shrunken to a seven year-old. In order to track down the men who did this to him, Shinichi hid his identity and lived with Ran, whose father happened to be a hopeless detective, and with that came a series of murders and mysteries that he must solve.
TV Drama The first live action drama is filled with moments form Kogoro of all people. First when he hears that Sonoko was kidnapped while on a class trip he instantly heads there in order to help. Then he actually stops himself from getting into an argument with Shinichi so that Ran doesn't get upset. While the police are preparing for another announced kidnapping he asks Shinichi to look after Ran because he is being kept out of the building during the threat. Next he apologizes to Shinichi for hitting him after Ran has been kidnapped, which Shinichi takes well and responds that he deserved. Finally he thanks Shinichi for saving Ran from the kidnapper. Reminds you that for all of his faults Kogoro loves his daughter tremendously and really does want her to find happiness in life. Shinichi gets a moment at the end when he thinks to himself that he didn't tell Ran about receiving a challenge letter from the kidnapper because he wanted her to enjoy the class trip without worry. The second live drama special has a few moments: First is when Ran is able to find Shinchi while he has temporarily returned to normal by identifying his hand when he is trying to escape her on the elevator. She knows him so well that this generic clue instantly proves its him to her. Which is followed up by Ran hugging Shinichi from behind after she catches him in the elevator and asks if its him. He struggles with the desire to tell her for a bit before confirming it for her. Later when Haibara talks about how she may never create a cure she says that if ten years pass and no cure is found she believes that Shinichi and Ran can overcome the age difference between them. Rather sweet for such a normally cynical girl. Finally at the end Ran asks Conan if he thinks that Shinichi can see the moon shining during a clear night. Shinichi thinks to himself that he does see it, with Ran. The first episode of the live action series has Ran saying she wants wedding photos, which just flusters Shinichi into acting Adorkable. The third episode of the live action series has Eri being a Shipper on Deck for Ran and Shinichi by trying to recommend to him gifts to get for Ran, even describing the two as lovers. At the end of the last episode of the live-action series, Ran expects Shinichi to be angry with her, since she drugged him and her father on the villain's orders. Shinichi knows that she only did it because the villain was holding Eri hostage though, and assures Ran he isn't angry. The two are so sweet together that even Kogoro is moved to tears and excuses himself from the room. Even more adorable, the excuse he uses to leave He's going to check on Eri, whose location they got out of the villain.
